My chosen theme is 'Beneath The Surface'.

The breadth that this theme covers is very wide and will give me a plethora of possible directions for my work. I will therefore gather ideas through inspiration from pinterest and other soruces, aswell as possibly some of my own.

My intention for my work is to explore the theme of mental illnesses, and the inner struggle that people have with them. An aspect of this thta I wish to place heavy emphasis is the loss of identity that comes as the mental illness begins to dominate their daily lives.

I will explore different artists' techniques and styles to further improve my work, exploring how they achieve their effects and trying to replicate that in experiments of my own.
